End of year round up

Just a quick post to let everyone know that the website is now up to date, and so the complete 08/09 corpus is complete. Enjoy.

We might also be gifted with some more back issues soon, but don’t let that put you off donating old issues if you happen to have them.

Handover + New Issue

As I’m sure you already know, I’ve handed over the mantle of Editor to Andy Pinnington. I’m also pleased to announce his first issue – available from the archives now. Further, we’ve got the entire alternative alternative prospectus available online, and if you enjoy it, please donate to RAG (or other charitable organisations if RAG isn’t convenient).

I’ll be ‘maintaining’ Clareif’s web presence, so don’t worry that this website will fall into disrepair. We’ll still be here for you…

New Issue Y’all

Yes yes y’all and we don’t stop.
Producing issues, that is. Just been uploaded for your delectation.
Enjoy.

NEW ISSUE OUT NOW

Calm down, quick, breathe into this paper bag. Now, are you ok.
Just go the archives and read the dazzling new issue out now. Or go to buttery and pick it up there.

Hurry, before we run out of bandwidth.

Back Issues

Clareification is once again proud to announce even more back issues, this time taking us back to the beginning of 2006. We hope to procure issues all the way back to 1999, so watch this space for the most exciting historical development since postmodernism meant facts became irrelevant. If you happen to have any of the gaps in any form (even paper), let me know, and I’ll try to find a way to put it up.

Enjoy perusing the past

TCS Name Generator

Sometimes I forget what TCS stands for, and I imagine you do too. So Clareification has once again leapt to the rescue by producing this handy reminder generator.  Suggestions for more names for TCS are always welcome.  Comments below will do.

*NEWSFLASH* SHOCK AS ART STUDENTS ATTEND LECTURE

There was widespread shock as over a hundred arts students spontaneously attended a lecture this evening, in the law faculty. Entranced by the novelty, it was decided that they should remain in the lecture theatre, doing work, talking and not moving. Clareification’s on the spot reporter describes the situation:

“I was happily sitting in a lecture hall, when suddenly,  I saw someone well dressed in a lecture theatre. I couldn’t quite believe it, but when I looked back, there was another. They just kept coming, it was only when fifteen or twenty people had entered that I realised it they were arts students. I just couldn’t believe it.”

The occupation of the lecture theatre will apparently continue until the university agrees to help the situation in Gaza, or everybody gets bored and goes home.  I warn you, once you’ve read a 700 page tome written by a French Existentialist philosopher, you don’t bore easily.

Clareification is entirely apolitical, but it is in favour of sitting down in comfy chairs.

Lent Issue 1 Out

Clareification Lent one ‘Buzz Word’ is out now. Enjoy.

Also,  on a sadder note, unless someone steps up to guest edit there won’t be a Clareification this week. There will however be one the week after, so don’t hestitate in sending your ideas. Remember, never show weakness in front of a comic article. They’re vicious, they are.

Guess what! Issues are up again

The last mich issues are up in the archives.

Enjoy the holidays, and remember any time you feel a bit funny, write something and send it in. Also, don’t forget to apply for guest editing. If you don’t you won’t get the chance to edit. And there’ll be a lot less Clareification…

NEW ISSUE & GUEST EDITORSHIP

Guess what Clare?
It’s time for the 6th Clareification of the term. Isn’t it thrilling?
Get it here.

Also, applications are now open for guest editorships. If you’re fast, there might be one this term, and there will be some in Lent as well. Guest editing is the best way to get experience if you plan to run for editor in Lent, and allows you to impose your own creative wills on the entire college. If you’ve ever felt “I could do better” or “I’d love to see Clareification do this”, this is your chance. Remember, if you don’t support your college paper, who else is?

Enjoy!
